My thoughts: This was one of my required readings for my ELP course. As many of us find ourselves in hierarchical government organizations, we realize we have created sometimes inflexible environments that don’t always allow adaptability to changing threat environments. General McChrystal discusses his leadership with Special Operations in Iraq and how adaptability and flexibility were integrated into their organizational structure…with impressive results. I have recommended this book to my own staff to address and improve the team dynamic within our own organization.
